Get to Calais by whichever route is best for you, then join the A26 and head south towards Reims.

From Reims  follow the A26 untill it joins with the A5 then the

A31  and proceed to Dijon.  

Just outside Dijon you have a choice of routes: Either head towards Lyon or take our prefered motorway

 towards Bourg en Bresse via the A39. It's less busy and some 50 miles shorter in distance.

After Bourg en Bresse (you wont see the city as the motorway skirts around the forested perimeter) you

will join the A40 heading towards Geneva and enter the Jura mountains followed by the Alps.

We suggest you leave the motorway at Bellegarde (junction 11) and take the normal road to Annecy   (D1508)

Enjoy the spectacular road along  Lake Annecy (and pencil it in as a fantastic summer resort with lake

swimming temperatures as high as the Med in August).

Follow the signs to Albertville, then Moutiers, then Bourg St. Maurice. We are 25km after

Moutiers on the N90 road.  

Once past Aime, Bellentre is next and  Bonconseil is 3km more on the right hand side.  

If you get to Bourg St Maurice, you have gone too far so turn round and drive for 3 mins (time it)

and Bonconseil is now on the left.
